Pokemon Theme Park?
_____________________________________________________
Nintendo Co. president, Hiroshi Yamauchi announced in Kyoto on Friday, plans to build a "Pokemon World" theme park in Kyoto, based on the characters from the Pocket Monster franchise. Nintendo has asked the Kyoto municipal government for help in the search for a possible site for the project within, or around the city and plans to complete construction of the park 1 year after a location is found. The municipal government had agreed to help in the search for a suitable location for the theme park as it will add a new attraction to the city's ancient temples and shrines. The park could be the size of the Tokyo Dome (about 47,000 square meters), and is likely to draw Pokemon fans from around the world, some are already calling it Japan's Disney Land. That may be an suitable title as Mr. Yamauchi has said that he planned to make the Pokemon characters as popular as Mickey Mouse.

IMPRESIONS
--------------- JIGGLYPUFF: Sounds great...For people in Japan! I don't think any thing will be bigger then Mickey Mouse though. NIDOKING: I want to ride the Ponyta next!!
The Pokemon Forest-Palooza-Pikashok-Charmander's House!?!?

Well, in a suprise, Pika Shok, the owner of Brock 284, and Girlie, the owner of Alakazam 127, have relinquished their sites to us, the Pokemon Forest, so we will be incorporating all of their cool pages! So, much like Ziggy's Palooza, their sites will continue on thru us. The strategies and some of the pics pages on the side are from Pikashok. I haven't got all the pages transferred yet, but I will soon! Stay tuned! We're growing bigger all the time!
Pikachu Does the Genki Dechu in America!

Yes, it has finally happened! The latest Pokemon game to be announced for Western shores is Pikachu Genki Dechu, a simulation game where you ACTUALLY talk to Pikachu. Talk nice to him he'll be happy, tell him his momma wears combat boots and he'll get ticked off. You take your Pika-pal through various worlds-- jungles, fields, beaches, and the like. No release date has been given yet though. Pokemon Forest will have a preview of this game up soon, and more info as it comes. And hopefully we'll figure out what the heck a 'Genki Dechu' is...

Looks Like Pokemon Has Lost It's Marbles...Or Have They?

Collectable Marbles Pokemon Style, will be hitting the shelf's this January. Toy Biz is making 300 high quality glass marbles featuring all 150 different Pokémon.
The marbles will have the Pokemon, its number, and a colorful clear background.
The Marbles will all come in a pouch with 1 of 8 Pokemon on it. In all, there are 16 different pouches. Each pouch contains 10 marbles, including eight Pokémon Collector Marbles.
Once you have a few marbles in your collection, you can use the Poké Ball Marble Shooter to organize and launch your marbles onto a Pokémon Battle Mat, a special surface designed for Pokémon Collector Marble matches. You can hold up to eight marbles in the Poké Ball Shooter, and use a built-in magnifying glass to examine your marbles. After picking your marble, The motor will push it into place. These shooters will either have a Blastiose (to BLAST them) or a Charizard (To FlameTHROW them:). The Marble Shooters come with a Pokémon Battle Mat, six Pokémon Collector Marbles, a Pokémon Marble Rack. Well, it sounds to me like a psycho game to me but whatever floats your boat. Well, you never know when Team rocket is around the corner so always carry your Poké Collector Marble Case witch clips to your belt and carries eight marbles. Like the pouches these have 1 of 8 Pokemon on them. The poke ball carry case will show off your wonderful full collection. The case holds up to 178 marbles, and folds out so you can admire your entire collection at once. It looks to me like Pokemon company is trying to make another item as big as the Pokemon cards. I say buy them soon because they will probably be taken off the shelf's from little kids choking on the little marbles. Either that or people shooting the marbles in the improper way.
IMPRESSIONS --------------- JIGGLYPUFF: I will probably buy some of them but not go crazy and try to collect them all like I did with the cards. The pokeball shooter thing seems cool if you know people who also play. I say they are probably best for collection. NIDOKING: They are just marbles! For the love of all things decent! I'm having trouble keeping up with the Pokemon CARDS! Ahh!
Another One Gets Delayed...

When will all of the madness end? That's right another delay by the notorious Nintendo. Pokemon Card GB, which was supposed to come out February 7, 2000, has been pushed back to April 10, 2000 (the day before Nintenodo 64's most awaited game ever, Perfect Dark). As if we didn't see this one coming. Last I heard it was almost all translated, Nintendo felt the need for a delay anyway though. Is it a newly discovered glitch or a strategic move by Nintendo to keep Pokemon fans wanting more? We won't know, but expect a the latter. So I guess the next game coming is Stadium, in March, 4 MONTHS AWAY!!! I don't know if I could wait much longer...

Pokemon Tid-Bits:
--Check out the news Pics pages! There's one for the upcoming Pikachu Genki Dechu, US Pokemon Stadium pics, not to mention Pokemon TCG, and best of all: A Pokemon Gold/Silver Icon page! So check them out!
--The Fun Page has once again been updated, for the week of the 12th! Anyone who missed this week's new episode, be sure to check it out... there were a few suprises!
--There is alot of news latley because of Pokemon gold and silver but through it all the new pokemon cards coming out is still good news. Being very curius I looked around at every site I could find to try to find out something about The Base Set 2. So Here is what I found from ,Celadon City
"Base Set 2 will not just be Basic and Jungle. Around two dozen of the less popular/confusing cards will be rotated out of the set. Also, the set will have a new expansion symbol so they won't be confused with the older, more collectable cards."
It is a quote from Wizards. Here is what else I found on Set 2. The Base Set 2 is to be released this February. It's said to be a 130 card set and have 4 new theme decks plus a free insructional CD included in the starter set. What's exactly in this set and why they're makin a new set with recycled cards is a Pokémystery. And also To make up for the holo (Mew) missing from the fossil set. For those who didn't know, the Mew card, which is non holo, is to be released this January in the Pokemon Trading Card Leagues.
--A chance for us Americans to catch up. In Canada they have been a couple of shows a head of use until now. The only channel showing Pokemon there has stoped running new episodes until the 24th of January. Instead they are showing new shows of Digamon. Hopefully after it starts up again there the shows will be even so that these sites would stop telling me whats GOING to happen. That is, if they survive watching Digimon...yuck.
--Pokemon Gold and Silver has been released in Japan, with nearly 3 millon copies sold already! It's another blockbuster Pokemon game, no doubt!
